

Gail Marie Maidlow, 69, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018. Gail was a graduate of Dixie Hollins High School in St. Petersburg, FL, and received her BA training in teaching at the University of Florida. Gail then joined the United States Air Force serving from 1973 to 1979 as a SSgt DOD Radio Communication Analysis Specialist at Fort George G. Meade, MD. After leaving the Air Force, Gail moved to Bellingham, Washington, where she earned her Master's degree in Speech and Hearing Pathology. Gail was a Speech Pathologist in Oregon before moving to Sarasota to work for the Sarasota County School System where she retired in 2014. Gail was an extraordinary teacher often working late into the night to develop lesson plans and games for her students.
She was a devout Christian dedicating most of her life to Christian Fellowship and was respected for her caring and compassionate personality. She had many lifelong friends that were blessed to have known her.
She leaves behind a brother, Donald H. Maidlow; sister, Carol Pierson; two nephews, Donald Maidlow, Jr. and Michael Pierson; two nieces, Danielle Limbach and Kristine Meyer, and step-niece, Pamela Schwarz.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on August 8th, in Westminster Woods, 25 State Road 13, Jacksonville, FL 32259.
