

Patty is survived by her children Gail, Miledge, Paula, Cathy, Lamar, Frankie, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Also, her siblings Frankie McCormick, Kitty Smith, Shirleen Hester, and Dan Defee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Cecil Lamar Sparkman.
She was a wonderful mother, granny, and great granny. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mandarin. She often volunteered at the school, church, annual bizarre, and was a long time member of the church's women's bowling league.
Patty loved to fish, bowl, play cards, cook, spend time with her family, and had a passion for bird watching. Her life was dedicated to taking care of others. She will be greatly missed, but forever loved by many.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Chapel, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL, beginning at 6pm and going until 8pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Rd., Jacksonville, FL, at 10am. A Committal service will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery.
