His family relocated to Jacksonville where he resided until his death. He attended Lake Lucina Elementary, Terry Parker High School and Florida State University. His career was in sales and marketing and food brokerage businesses.
He has survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Marianne House; her son, Michael Norton; brother Don House and his wife Marte of Gainesville, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews in Gainesville, Florida, Texas and the D.C. area.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 5 at Lakewood Methodist Church at 11 AM.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lakewood Church or a charity for pet rescue in Gary's name.
