Gary Howard Perkins

PERKINS, Gary Howard Perkins, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Mr. Perkins was born in Presque Isle, Maine and had lived in Valdosta, Georgia for 15 years prior to moving to Hilliard, Florida over 30 years ago. He retired as a U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant with 24 years of service including two tours of Viet Nam. He was also retired from the F.A.A. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Janice Perkins; 7 children: Mark (Maria), Tony (Terri) & Andy (Denise) Perkins and Linda (Dennis) Grimsley, Karen Tucker, Rhonda (Eugene) Evans and Kevin (Kerry) Greenwell; 1 brother, Merlin (Cheryl) Perkins; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many other loving family & friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, August 31, in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Rev. F. Ray Turner and Hospice Chaplain James Williams, Jr. officiating. Inurnment with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
