George Thomas Dotson

DOTSON - George Thomas Dotson, 58 of Jacksonville, FL., passed away Aug. 2, 2020, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Lexington, KY. on January 8, 1962. As a big fan of Elvis Presley, George would proudly tell anyone who knew him that the two shared a birthday. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School class of 1980 and was a member of the football team. George worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years, making lifelong friends throughout his career. He will be remembered for his spirit, passion, and kindness. George was known for his love of his family and his Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats amongst a sea of Florida Gator fans.

George was predeceased by his parents George and Elizabeth White Dotson. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Charlotte Nevin Dotson, his son Clayton (Kendra) Dotson, his twin daughters Caroline and Catherine Dotson, and granddaughters Kinsley Clements and Isla Dotson, and his soon-to-be grandson Ayden Driggers. He is also survived by his brother Philip Dotson, sister Cheryl (Ed) Roth, nephew Grayson Roth, sister-in-law Lisa Nevin, and niece Monica Nevin.

A service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, August 7, in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL.
