
KISENDAFFERGladys R. Gallup Kisendaffer, 93, of Jacksonville passed away on 06 September 2010 at Riverwood Center Jacksonville. Born 17 May 1917 in Rochester, NY, she was preceded in death by her parents George and Aida Murphy Gallup, brother Norman Gallup and Husband Lawrence Kisendaffer. Gladys was Manager of The Women’s Department at J.C. Penney Rochester NY, Manager of Wilbur Rogers in Arlington, VA, Little Shoe Box in Dumfries, VA and Peebles Department Store, Woodbridge, VA. She moved from Woodbridge, VA to Cocoa, FL and then in 1996 to Jacksonville, FL to be near her daughter Gail Demchock Leasure (Ernie), grandchildren Christina Leasure, Jennifer Merrell (Rob), Kimberly Rigdon (Mark), Gary Leasure (Amy) and great grandchildren Nicholas Merrell, Macey & Ella Rigdon, Colter & Tanner Leasure. Her "SPIRITED NATURE" will be missed by her family and friends and the '55 CLUB' at Countryside Village, where she was two times president and held many other offices. She was a long time fan of the Atlanta Braves, Gators and Jaguars. Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday 18 Sept 2010 at the Countryside Village Club House, 10960 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or the American Cancer Society.
