

Born July 14, 1948 in Huntington, W.V., after moving to Jacksonville she became dairy farmer where her love of animals was born and later spent many years as a school bus driver in Duval County.
Gloria had a passion for caring for others and over the years came to be known as “mom” to several children, “sister” and friend to many she came in contact with and made life long irreplaceable friends.
Gloria enjoyed traveling with her husband, socializing, seeing her family and friends happy and enjoying life whether it was traveling or on the dairy for a get together.
She is survived by her husband, James McElroy; mother, Joann Carroll;
brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Noble; daughter, Tonya Wells; son, Michael Wells; grand-children, Corben and Taylor Blake, Braeden Wells, and Emily and Tyler Wolf; nephews, Scott and wife Claudia Noble, Todd Noble; great niece and nephew Jessica and Jacob Noble; well as many “adopted” children she came to love as her own.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Noble.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home at 729 Edgewood Avenue South, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
A graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:30 am. Attendees are asked to arrive at 11:00 am.
