Gregory Karl Mcfarlane

Gregory Karl McFarlane, age 69, passed away at his home in Jacksonville, FL on Dec. 22, 2021. He was born in Peoria, IL on April 19,1952, son of Carole Mason Paddock and Glenn Paddock. Greg graduated from Hall H.S. in Spring Valley, IL and attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL.

Greg loved to work with his hands. As a young boy, he would take apart and reassemble small appliances and radios just to learn how they worked. This interest led him to a career in construction, auto mechanics, plumbing, and hotel property maintenance. He was a capable and reliable handyman who took great pride in his work.

Greg loved to read, finish crossword puzzles and sudoku in pen, always with one of his cats lying on his paper. He loved watching football, playing cards and enjoyed trivia challenges. He had a great sense of humor and an easy laugh.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, and his stepfather, James McFarlane.

He is survived by his sister, Dionne (Brant) Cotterman, his beloved niece, Jessie Goldman, and his great-niece, Mila Goldman. We love you, Greg, and we miss you.
