Gregory Lewis NeSmith, 69, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Greg was a man of faith, integrity, loyalty, love of family and honor. He was born in Syracuse, New York and grew up in Fort Valley, Georgia. After graduating from college he moved to Jacksonville, Florida. He worked for Prudential Insurance Company for 46 years as a Prudential Advisor. He held many industry designations – CLU, CHFC, CLTC, IAR and many other accomplished recognitions. The greatest pleasure and satisfaction thru his work came with the long term relationships he had with clients and others built around trust, integrity and friendship.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda, who he always referred to as “the love of his life with her dimpled smile and beautiful blue eyes”; children, Lisa Chapnerkar (Sudhir), Melissa Myrick (Todd), Scott NeSmith (Michelle), Brian NeSmith, Doug NeSmith and Kate NeSmith and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd. with Pastor Ron Henson officiating.
