ROYAL, Grover Charles Royal, 71, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012. Mr. Royal was a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church (1425 Starratt Road), where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 30, with Dr. Terry Gore officiating. Mr. Royal served in the U.S. Army (101st Airborne) and had been employed with the former Duval County Road Patrol and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, retiring after 35 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Toni Royal in 2010. Survivors include his 3 children: Jason Royal (Jennifer), Joanna Royal Pajcic (Curt) and Justin Royal (Nakia); 2 sisters, Mary Love and June Clark; 1 brother, David Royal (Sueann); 8 grandchildren: Gracie, Curtis, Carson, Gavin, Ellis, Nathan, Aidan and Kenadie; and many other loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
