Harold C. Odell Jr.

Harold C. Odell Jr., 65, of Jacksonville, passed away on February 20, 2011 at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. Harold was born on March 1, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Harold C. Odell Sr. and Florence V. (Quinn) Odell. He retired from the United States Navy, and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Harold enjoyed fishing and photography. He is survived by his loving wife, Ana R. Odell of Jacksonville. Additional survivors include his son, Chris Odell of Jacksonville; his 2 daughters, Bonnie Strickland and her husband Wes of Jacksonville; and Kimberly Odell and her fiancé Dustin Bland of Orange Park; his brother, Richard Odell and his wife Penny of New York; his sister, Barbara Skowronek and her husband Cy of North Carolina; and his 2 grandchildren, Isabella Vaccaro and Blaine Strickland, both of Jacksonville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 24 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home with Fr. Tony Ike as Officiant, followed by interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Harold to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville FL, 32257.
