Harvey H. "Buddy" Martin

MARTIN Harvey Hubert Martin (Buddy) passed away on September 17, 2012. He was born November 6, 1928 in Plant City, Florida the youngest of 8 children to Charles Henry Martin and Minnie Adams Martin. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cubye Ryals Martin; son, David Michael Martin; daughter, Kimberly Inge (Warriner); 3 grandchildren, Mark, Katherine and Melissa Inge; 2 sisters, Marjorie Tripp of Jacksonville and Geneva Joiner of Seattle, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He graduated from Plant City High School in Tampa, Florida. He spent approximately 2 years with the Army Corp of Engineers and then 4 years with the U. S. Navy. Afterwards he came to Jacksonville where he worked in builders hardware. He retired in 1997 as Vice-President from Ray Ware Hardware. He loved people and his work. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, & loved his family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Rev. Jeff Reichmann of Church of the Good Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment with military honors will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
