Bernice (Helen) Coulter Lea, 83, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Born on June 29, 1934 in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Davis Coulter and Helen Bernice Holmes. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Russell Paul Lea; two sons, David Lea of Gainesville, Florida, Franklind Lea and his wife, Lisa Lea of Atlanta, Georgia; and grandson, Russell James Lea.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 5616 Atlantic Blvd. with Rev. Aaron Uitti, officiating, followed by a short ceremony and reception at Morocco Shrine Temple at 12:30 PM. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 28th at Jacksonville National (Veterans) Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel at 4801 San Jose Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Hospice Foundation for Northeast Florida.
