

Helen Gray Levesque, 86, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on September 2, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan. Helen graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville and went on to study at the University of Florida. She was married for 23 years to Robert J. Levesque.
Helen had a career as an Executive Manager of Sales with Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. and World Book Encyclopedia. She was a member of the Salaam Club in Jacksonville. Helen loved to read, play Backgammon with friends, and work on Crossword Puzzles. She also enjoyed singing and dancing and watching classical movies. One of her favorite things to do was to travel and go on cruises with her family. Helen was very caring and giving; she loved her family and people and helping others. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Helen is so very dearly loved and she will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her children, Marlene Butcher (Ron), of Jacksonville, FL, Bobby Levesque (Nancy), of Jacksonville Beach, FL, and Michele Manzer of Spokane, Washington, her grandchildren, Alicia Venzon, Eric Butcher, Matthew Butcher, Thomas Levesque, and Lance Levesque, and her great-grandchildren, Zachary Venzon, Riley Venzon, and Elijah Butcher.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Monday, April 1, 2019 at Greenlawn Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Greenlawn Chapel, followed by Graveside services in Greenlawn Cemetery. A Reception and Gathering will follow the burial and will be held at Greenlawn Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The family of Helen would like to give a special Thank You to the caregivers at River Garden Hebrew Home in Jacksonville, FL, for the care and dedication they provided for Helen.
