Herbert Lee Land

Herbert "Lee" Land, 82, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011. He was born on January 13, 1929 in Ft. Payne, Alabama to Mr. Walter A. Land and Mrs. Myrtle Hall Land. Lee worked for Farmbest for 32 years. Lee and Lucille moved to Jacksonville in 1950. He was a devout Christian who loved God and his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Land. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lucille Land; his son, Tony (Tanya) Land, 3 brothers, M.L. (Sarah) Land, Curt (Sue) Land, and Ronnie (Joan) Land; daughter-In-law, Yonge Kay Land; grandson, Jason (Patricia) Land; granddaughter, Tracy (Chris) Davis, and great-grandson, Ryan Davis. The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00am, Ortega Baptist Church, 4865 Roosevelt Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210. Officiating by Rev. Ted Corley and Rev. Flournoy Jernigan. Burial at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery of Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers you may send memorials to Ortega Baptist Church or to Baptist Children's Home.
