

Howard graduated from Orange County College, Middletown, New York. He worked as a Senior Research Technician for Hercules, Inc. for over 21 years.
Howard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. His lifetime passion was buying & selling & refurbishing classic cars. He also enjoyed dancing, music, antiquing (“treasure hunting”), travel and enjoying time with friends and family. Howard was a kind, caring, loving and generous man and will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents; half-sister, Eileen Orrio; half-brothers, Fred Dusenberry, Ralph Culver and Jim Culver.
Howard is survived by Martha Harris Culver, his wife of nine years; son, Tyler Ross Culver & step-sons, Paul, Michael & Peter Harris; grandchildren, Alexandria, Gabrielle, Sydney, & Katie Harris; brother, Paul Ward Culver; half-sister, Gertrude Elmore; nephews, Ernest Elmore (Pat), Jim Elmore (Diane), Allen Orrio (Deborah) and Joe Orrio (Debra).
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2018 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, July 20, 2018, in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 in Lane 2 with Dr. Tim McDaniel as officiant.
