

Jack Udell, 84, an adoring husband, was born to June 19, 1937, in Sioux Falls, SD to Lige and Millie (Zuckman) Udell. He is also preceded in death by sisters Mary Udell and Sonia Gallo, step-father Philip Sahl and brother-in-law Leonard Gealt.
He was survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Stanley Udell, now deceased; sister Elana Gealt, brother-in-law, Michael Gallo; daughters Pamela Burke (Tom) and Tami Ann and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
For 25 years, he owned Service World, with 5 locations in Florida. He led a varied life, filled with many twists and turns before meeting the love of his life, Shirley, when they were both demonstrating products at a local Publix in Jacksonville. They married four years later and in his own words, “Had I not asked for her phone number that day in the grocery store, I can't imagine what would have happened to me without this dear lady She is a truly giving and caring person. She watched over me with such loving care.”
Graveside and Committal Services will be held on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at 10:00 am in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. The Celebration of Life service will be a joint service for Shirley and Jack Udell due to COVID 19 protocol not allowing to have a service for Jack. Military Honors will be bestowed for Jack honoring his US Navy service.
