Ivey Wisenbaker Prescott

Ivey Prescott, 92, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Thursday evening, December 16, 2010. He was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ. He was a dear father, grandfather and friend to all of us. His son Christopher Ivan Prescott and daughter in law Danielle Prescott survive him. He is also survived by his grandson and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Jason Brooks Prescott and his grand daughter Lindsay Nichole Prescott. Numerous cousins and dear friends further survive him. Ivey retired from the army after serving in Panama during WWII. Ivey was a capable and respected businessman in North Florida and will be sorely missed in our community. There will be two services to pay respects: A Celebration of Life viewing from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday Dec. 20, 2010 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, at McLane Funeral Home in Lake Park, Georgia. Burial will follow in Dasher Cemetery.
