Jack went to Trinity Christian high school, where he lettered in everything a guy could letter in. As an all-around jock, everyone with the memory of Jack from Trinity's spoke about how kind he was in every situation and how he stood up for anybody at any time. This is where he met the love of his life for the first time Susan Geoghagan. After Trinity, Jack considered going to FSU where he made the football team as a walk on but was told he’d have to wait a year for a scholarship by the great Bobby Bowden. Not one to wait for anything, Jackie drove back to Jacksonville and went right back to work at the family gun store, Green Acres Sporting Goods.
