

Jack Berrien Lairsey, Jr., age 65, went to home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 24th, 2026. Jack was born on March 23rd, 1960 in Jacksonville Florida, where he spent majority of his life with a hammer in his hand. He was a carpenter for 50 years, and the last 15 of which he spent building docks and that was where he was happiest - doing what he loved on the water.
Jack loved the outdoors and anything that involved his friends and family. He was a maker of memories and really lived each day to the fullest.
Jack is survived by his son Spencer Lairsey; his daughter Maryjane (RiLee) Hopke; his three granddaughters who he adored Layla, Hahnah, and Elleanor; his partner of nine years, Anna Bieniek, who has opened his eyes to many places and things along the years; siblings Jackie (Slim) Wingate, John (Donna) Lairsey, Kevin (Stephanie) Lairsey; brother -in-law David Haga; along with countless cousins, nieces, nephews and life long friends. Jack was preceded in death by the mother of his children Angela Cason, sister Beth Haga, and parents Jack and Maggie Lairsey.
A receiving of family and friends will take place at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home located at 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211, on February 4, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A celebration of life will be held at the same venue on February 5, 2026, starting at 11:00 am. A livestream of the services will be provided for those unable to attend the celebration of life.
The committal service will occur at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, located on St Johns Bluff Rd N, Jacksonville, FL 32225, on February 5, 2026.
