He was a man of God who devoted his life to serving Jesus Christ, the Church, his wife Christine and children and his country. He served in the Korean War earning a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. He was steady in times of great hardship and joyful in times of plenty. He has always been humble before God and devoted to our Lady. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Zavaleta (Alfredo) and Angela D. Thomason (Tom); two sons, James Ken Turpin, Jr. and James Tim Turpin; a sister, Betty Howell; and ten grandkids.
A Rosary is scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2020 at 9:30AM at Assumption Catholic Church with a Mass following at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at 2:00PM in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Honors.
