James L. Scott

James Lynn Scott (Scotty), 67, passed away September 16, 2016 at Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach. He was born February 26, 1949 to Henry Scott and Bonnie Skeen Scott in Tennessee. Scotty was retired from Fickling Brothers. He served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He loved the outdoors being among the critters, his hunting club, where he said he felt closest to God. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Clarence Jett and Earl Scott, his sister Josephine Scott Hill. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Marie, Jacksonville, FL, daughters, Jessica Scott Brown and husband Steven; Tina Hanson Wittlinger and husband Scott; son Jason Milton and wife Karla, grandsons Bradley, Kody and Johnothan, great granddaughter Destiny. His sisters Pollie Scott King and husband Mike, Patsy Scott Davis and many nieces and nephews and extended family. A special thank you to Community Hospice of Fernandina Beach FL for their loving care and support. Graveside service will be on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 12:30pm, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Immediately following, a memorial service will be held at The Link, 542262 US HWY 1, Callahan, FL. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Community Hospice of Fernandina Beach FL would be appreciated.
