

He was preceded in death by son, James Anthony Walden (Tony).
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Evelyn Griffis Walden and Chris Walden (wife, Debbie) and twin granddaughters Erin and Grace Walden, along with many brother and sister in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Chief Petty Officer Walden served in the US Navy for 30 years (22 ½ years in the Navy and 8 years in the Fleet Reserve) He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, serving 3 tours of duty in Vietnam and flew 287 missions.
He earned multiple metals and commendations during his service to our country.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 18 from
6 pm – 8 pm at the Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel 729 Edgewood Ave South. A Funeral service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held on Friday, October 19 at 1:00 pm at the Edgewood Chapel.
