Janet Irene Locke McClellan McMenamy

Janet Irene Locke McClellan McMenamy, 88, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. Born December 7, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a beloved wife and sister, and also a very dear friend to many. Janet grew up in the Queens borough of New York City, graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 1957, and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1959, when she married the love of her life, Henry (Al) McClellan, Jr. Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Henry (Al) McClellan, Jr., her husband of 11 years, Thomas P. McMenamy, her parents, Henry F. Locke, Sr. and Irene Bacso Locke, her eldest son Henry (Hank) McClellan, III, as well as her eldest grandson, Eric McClellan. Surviving relatives include her sons, Christopher McClellan (Melissa) of Jacksonville, Timothy McClellan (Marita) of Jacksonville, and David McClellan (Jenny) of Jacksonville, her brother, Henry F. Locke, Jr. (Jane) of Hicksville, NY, as well as eight grandchildren, including Megan McClellan-Brossart (Tyler), Christopher McClellan, Jr., Brendan McClellan, Nicholas McClellan (Bailey), Caroline McClellan-Audran (Cameron), Kathleen McClellan-Hammack (Shawn), Andrew McClellan, and Elizabeth McClellan and 1 great granddaughter, Adaline Irene Brossart, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, April 25, 2024, between 6PM and 8PM with a Rosary Prayer Vigil at 7PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211. Funeral mass services will be held at 10AM on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church with the Reverend James Boddie officiating. Interment will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Arlington Memorial Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.

Funeral arrangements are through Corey-Kerlin Funeral Homes and Crematory, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
