Janet Maria Nix, 68, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Lee Nix, Sr.; grandson, Aaron Harrison; and long-time companion, Charles “Frank” Mace. She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Richard Lee Nix, Jr. (Joyce) and Steve Lee Nix (Karilina) all of Jacksonville; daughter, Barbara Ann Nix of East Point, Georgia; sister, Patricia Kyle of Jacksonville; brother, Joseph Malone (Delores) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Amanda Harrison, Christopher Harrison, Kristen Nix, and Kamren “Kamo” Nix. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to: Tom Coughlin Jay Fund (www.TCJAYFUND.org) or to a charity of your choice.
