Jennifer Joyce Harrington, age 50, passed away on May 15, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born December 21, 1970 in Man, WV, the daughter of Joyce Marie (Shaver) Fliess (deceased) and her father, Richard A Fliess (deceased).
Jennifer graduated from Wolfson High School and four years later graduated from Florida State University. Continuing to get her Masters the next two at Jacksonville University. In 1996, Jennifer married James (Jimmy) Gregory Harrington (deceased). She started her career as a third-grade teacher, and shortly later she had her two twin boys (James and Jordan Harrington, 24). She decided to devote her life to being the best mom she could. Four years later came her little baby girl (Jenna Marie Harrington, 20). Being able to pour love into her kids meant more to her than anything, and being a mom to her three kids, became her pride and joy.
Jennifer became a front office manager for Jimmy's company, Royal Pest Services Inc., which he started in 1995, and has worked their ever since. Jennifer’s brother Rock Fliess, who at the time was a single dad, became ill and passed away. She and Jimmy then raised his two daughters, Joy Wennerstrom (Cody) and Allie (24). She decided to take what Jimmy taught her over the years and continue his legacy by taking over Royal Pest Services in 2017, after he passed away. She did nothing but make Him proud during the next 4 years, being the face of the company. Jennifer’s Faith and family came first to her, and it was evident to anyone who met her. She was a mom, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, who never met a stranger.
She loved traveling, was an avid tennis player, and Relay for Life was particularly important to her. Having lost her mom, dad, brother, husband, and many other loved ones, as well as being a two-time cancer survivor herself, she felt the need to make a difference. She had a team named “Kids 4 A Cure”, which she started with her family and friends and served on the committee for many years. She raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society, to help find a cause for cancer.
Jennifer is survived by her loving kids, Jordan Gregory, James Richard, Jenna Marie, Joyce Marie Wennerstrom, Allie Rose Fliess, and her special sidekick, her puppy Jessie. She is also survived by her siblings, Stephanie Pecarro (Sam), Matt Fliess (Angie), Clay Fliess (Debbie), and Penn Fliess (Juda); 28 nieces and nephews and 13 great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Stephen Matthew Pecarro.

Jennifer made each and every person she met feel just as loved as her own family. It was so evident the strength of the Lord carried her through every day, she woke up every morning spending time with the Lord. Her constant joy was proof of that. Being someone who could pick you up on your worst days, and celebrate with you on your best, she was someone everyone wanted to be around. Welcome Home Jennifer!
