

PENTEL - Jerry Pentel, 82, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015. He was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland to the late Joseph and Isabela Mandelbaum Pentelka. He graduated from the Warsaw Polytechnic University with an Engineering degree. Mr. Pentel immigrated to Israel in 1957 and then to the U.S. in 1961. He moved to New Jersey in 1966 and retired to Florida in 1993. He held a variety of engineering positions in Israel and the U.S. including 25 years at Picatinny Arsenal as a Project Engineer. Mr. Pentel held dozens of patents in classified military technology. He enjoyed his retirement in Boynton Beach, Florida and was an active participant in computer clubs, investment & financial clubs, and current event discussion club. He did extensive travel via auto and air throughout North America and the world. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Sophia Pentel of Boynton Beach, daughters Karen Duncan of Ponte Vedra Beach, Eileen (Kraig) Torres of Atlanta, David (Mary) Pentel of Jacksonville and six grandchildren; Allison and Rebecca Duncan, Caleb and Maya Torres, Alexandra and Jessica Pentel. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Greenlawn Cemetery, the King David section. Hardage-Giddens, Greenlawn Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd is serving the family.
