John A. Chila, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on September 21, 2010. He served on board the USS Forrestal. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of 37 years, children; Anthony (Helene) Chila, Susan Haga, Holly (Brad) Morse, siblings; Paul (Pat), Carmen (Joe), Rose (Bill), Frankie (Donnie), Tony (Shari), Kathy (Dave), grandchildren; Jessica, Ashley, Hannah, Alex, Carlie, Joseph, Finley, great-grandchild; Braelyn, his two canine sidekicks and best friends Cooper and Daisy and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 3-5PM in the Chapel at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. with the funeral to follow at 5PM. Arrangements under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home.
