Ryan was an active member of AEE (Association Of Energy Engineers) Sunshine Chapter in Daytona Beach and will be missed by his many friends.
Ryan was a fun person with a great personality. Laurie...you are part of the AEESC family and have a "Life Time Membership" with the AEESC. Thank you for supporting Ryan during his Membership with us.

At times like these words are a poor tool to express what is really in our hearts. We strive so hard, yet something is lacking. In some way we wish we could truly express the emotions  we feel for loosing Ryan, our cherished friend. We will miss him always.

Soul Brother, you will live on in the hearts of many fellow class mates from the Class of '69' from Olathe, Kansas.  Never forget you and in our eyes you really were at WOODSTOCK...rest in piece Ryan, we love you and prayers to your family!!!!!  You will be missed!

Ryan was a remarkable, exceptional individual and always willing to help others. We both worked on Transmission lines project demo preparation using STI (SPACE TIME INSIGHT) software for customers. I find it is very opportunistic to work with him and I am sure that Bridge greatly impacted by his irreplaceable loss. My sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to his family & friends.

I am very sorry to hear of Ryan's passing. I worked with him at B&V in the 90's. I respected him very much.  He was a pleasure to work with and he took me under his wing when I was a young engineer. I especially remember trips to Saudi Arabia when we spent several weeks together.

Rest in peace my friend. We will watch over the girls.  God Bless.

Jon Ryan Bird was born July 16,1951 in Olathe, Kansas.  A Graduate of Olathe High School Class of '69. He later went on to receive his BS and MS Degrees in Electrical Engineering at UMKC and KU in 1989 and was employed at Bridge Energy Group at the time of his passing. He was the Son of Fredrick and Patricia (Peggy) Bird and is survived in Jacksonville by his Wife Laurie and Daughter Heather. A Sister Rosemary in Hawaii and Brothers Kelley, Damon and Sean That live in or near Olathe. In his teens and early twenties he promoted local bands and worked as a Sound Engineer for several company's. He toured with the Rolling Stones, Chicago and Crosby Stills and Nash to name a few before going back to school, Getting married and settling down to raise a family. His favorite hobby was cycling and he looked forward to riding most weekends with his many friends in the cycling community. His passing came suddenly and without warning. Fortunately he did not suffer. He will be forever remembered and loved by the family and friends who knew him...

One of the joys of bicycle riding is meeting and riding with awesome people like Ryan. I wish you were still riding with us.

Thanks for taking the time to spend almost every Saturday with our Durbin Gang for the last 3 years. I appreciate how I could count on you to lead rides and help the club. I will miss your beer chili and now wish I would have rigged a win for you in the chili tasting  contest. I will miss you.
