

Joseph Randal Hagan, 72, went home to the Lord on October 12, 2015. Joe Randal was born on December 22, 1942 in Holy Cross, KY to the late Isadore and Mary Margaret Hagan, the second born of seventeen children. He joined the US Army at age 17 and saw the world. He met and married his wife of 52 years, Mary, in 1963, and settled in Louisville, KY where he lived until 1983. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Florida Board of Realtors since moving to Jacksonville in 1983. He took great pride and enjoyment in creating and running his own business, Loretto Properties. He had a life-long passion for music including attending concerts, visiting famous music sites, and collecting music memorabilia, especially country and bluegrass. He also loved history, family genealogy, historic pictures, and good movies.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; 2 daughters, Jennifer Pate (David) and Krista Hagan; 3 grandchildren, Travis Pate, Dawson Pate and Isabelle Rose Hagan; and so many, many greatly loved family members.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin for visitation followed by the Rosary at 7:30pm. A mass in celebration of his life will begin at 11am on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church followed by the burial.
