She was predeceased by her husband, Woot Sizemore. Her beloved son, Thomas Weyman Sizemore (Mary) survives her. Also surviving her are grandchildren Thea Marcacci (Dan) of Atlanta, Chris Sizemore, M.D. (Janie) of Nashville, step grandchildren Blakney Bobitt (Joy) and Elizabeth Rowe, both of Jacksonville, and eight great grandchildren. We are grateful to Joyce’s niece, Lora Wilson, and Senior Helpers (Kia Patterson in particular) for the care they provided.
Joyce retired from Bank of America (Barnett Bank) then went back to work there as a part time employee after her retirement.
Joyce was a long time member of the Jacksonville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she enjoyed the love and friendship of many friends.
A graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery is planned for February 28 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Jason Alexander officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery Lodge after the service at 12:30.
