Julia Marie Wells

WELLS, Julia Marie Wells, 90, went to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Mrs. Wells was born in Olean, New York and had resided in Jacksonville most of her life. She was a member of Gardenview Baptist Church where she was the secretary/treasurer of the “First Love” Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wells was also secretary of the WMU Missions and Red Hatters of Gardenview Baptist Church. She also served proudly as a volunteer/chaplain for 10 years at Baptist Medical Center Downtown, Heart Center. Survivors include 3 daughters: Darlene Hinson (Robert), Donna Kinn (Patti) and Linda Ray; 2 sons, Michael & Robert Linton; 3 step children: James Linton (Charlotte), Rachael Laurendine (Grady) and Patricia Jones (Jay); 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends, including the Wells family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 22, at Gardenview Baptist Church, with Rev. Truman Blankenship and Pastor Rodney Keith officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park at 1:30 PM. The family will receive friends one (1) hour prior to the service, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mrs. Wells’ memory to either New Creations Missions Inc., P.O.
