

June M. Hall, 90, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2014 at Southlake Nursing Home in Jacksonville, FL. Born in Colorado, June lived most of her life in Maryland before moving to Florida in 1998. She lived in St. Mary’s County, MD from 1978 – 1998.
June’s love for Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life; she had a giving, serving spirit. One of her many passions was volunteering with the Laubach Literacy Council, she was instrumental in starting a Literacy Council in St. Mary’s County in 1979. In addition to teaching others to read and write, June was a tutor trainer and effective in recruiting others to volunteer.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Hall; granddaughter, Bonnie Stachurski; and brothers, Jack Burrell and Edward Burrell. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Drayson (Howard) of Jacksonville, FL and Amanda Hall of Rockville, MD; granddaughters, Dianna Singler (John) of Concord, NC and Marilyn Eso (Fred) of Deltona, FL; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Mary Haire (William); brothers, Melvin Burrell and John Burrell (Linda); and many nieces and nephews.
Internment will be at Cheltenham Veteran’s Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
