

Born August 18, 1932 in Dallas, GA, to Woodrow and Eunice Partain, Katherine grew up and married in the Atlanta area before moving to Jacksonville with her husband and children in 1954.
Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend as well as an active member of the Ribault Lion’s Club and a children’s Sunday School teacher. Katherine loved to travel and to watch sports, especially Georgia Tech football. Known for her delicious homemade biscuits and strawberry cake, she enjoyed spending time with her family especially during celebrations and holidays.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, Ben Croft and her three daughters, Brenda (Alan) Urmson, Verna (Robert) Asendorf, and Virginia Sapp. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Kristine (Bryan) Davis, Robert (Cristina) Asendorf Jr., Alison (Evan) Majoros, Kelli (Curtis) Willis, David (Michelle) McClure, and Rachael (Raymond) DeLano, and her five great-grandchildren.

She will be interned in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL. after a graveside ceremony on Saturday, March 4th at 11:00 AM.
