Katherine (Kathy) Melanie Kelly, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025. She was born at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York on February 1,1954 to Lindley and Gertrude Paskus. She was 71 years old.
On July 16, 1978, she married the love of her life, Rick Kelly, and settled down in Norfolk, Virginia. They went on to have two sons: Matthew in 1981 and Richard Kelly, III in 1984. She then moved to Jacksonville in 2002.
Kathy loved being with her family and in her spare time, she enjoyed Legos, woodwork, painting, cooking and watching North Carolina Tarheels games with her grandson, and being with her beloved dog, Zoey.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Richard.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Kelly and his wife, Lynne, and grandson Jayden. Further survivors include her four brothers: Garry Paskus and his wife Ellen, John Paskus, Charles Paskus and his wife Kathy, and Matthew Paskus and his wife Emily, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date per her wishes.
