Kathy Kay Craig

It is with profound sadness that the family of Kathy Kay Craig announces her passing on October 21, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 29, 1960 in Jacksonville, FL, Kathy was a kind and compassionate soul. She was known for her loving heart, her friendly nature, and her unwavering faith. These traits led her to raise and care for children in her professional career and rescue or adopt several cats throughout her life.

Kathy spent her life filling the world around her with kindness. She was a friendly face to many and was always willing to lend a helping hand and share the warmth of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her deep and abiding love for her family and feline companions was a defining characteristic, and her home was a warm and welcoming place. Kathy's life was a testament to the power of a kind and loving spirit.

She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 40 years, Steven Craig. Also her father, Burley "BC" Myers and her mother, Margaret "Louise" Myers. Kathy leaves behind her son, Jerry (Jean) Craig, her brother Michael (Denise) Myers, sisters Debbie Royal and Linda Knapp, several nieces and nephews, as well as her two dear cats. Her gentle and loving spirit will live on in all who knew her.

The family would particularly like to thank P.A.C.E. for the excellent care and assistance they provided for Kathy.

While we grieve her passing, she would want us to find solace in the hope of Christ's resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support local animal rescues, humane societies or the charity of your choice, to honor Kathy's lifelong compassion for others.
