

Kevin Christopher Stephens was born on October 23, 2003, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Kevin Lamar Stephens and Consuelo Lashay White. From the very beginning, Kevin’s bright smile, sharp mind, and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A proud graduate of Stanton College Preparatory School in Duval County, Kevin carried his determination and curiosity into every part of his life. Shortly after graduation, he chose a path of honor and service by enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he served proudly as an Air Traffic Controller. During his three years of service, Senior Airman Kevin C. Stephens earned several federal awards and decorations, as well as the respect and admiration of his peers for his focus, leadership, and unwavering commitment. Beyond his accomplishments, Kevin will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the way he could light up any room. He was a brilliant young man – full of promise, compassion, and love for his family and friends. His presence brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to all who knew him. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Stephens Sr. His life will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Consuelo L. White (Clinton White), and his devoted father, Kevin L. Stephens (LaMonica Stephens). He will be deeply missed by his sister Olivia L. Stephens, brother Joshua Stephens, grandmothers Irene Orr and Essie M. Dewey (Ernest Dewey) and his loving aunties Valarie Butler (Michael Butler), Vanessa Stephens, Sherry Burney (Daryl Burney), Lentonia Young (Arthur Young), and uncles Larry Stephens II (Lakisha Stephens), Carlos Stephens (Phedra Stephens), and Ernest Dewey II. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, friends, and Air Force colleagues who will forever hold his memory close. Kevin’s time on this earth was far too short, but his impact will echo for generations. His courage, intelligence, and heart will remain a guiding light for those who loved him most.
