

Lamar (Lonnie) was born November 18, 1928, in Jacksonville, Fl.
Lamar was a 32nd degree Freemason and very active with the Shriners. Lamar was employed by the Jacksonville Terminal, which transitioned into the Seaboard Coastline, CSX, and Amtrak. He retired from Amtrak in 1989, after 42 years with the railroad. Lamar was also a volunteer fireman and later became Captain of Volunteer Fire Station #28. During his railroad career he took a leave and served his country in the U.S. Navy. And in earlier years he worked as a private detective. Lamar and Brenda enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV and were members on the Sunwheelers for over 30 years.
Lamar was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. And has many extended family members and friends that will miss him.
Lamar is survived by his wife, Brenda, of 63 years and three children: Russell (Renee) Wilson, Jacksonville, Fl Randy Wilson, Mary Ester, Fl Robin (Tony) Foyt, Yulee, Fl And five grandchildren:

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11 am at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL. 32218 with Military Honors.
