As an outside field adjuster in VA, I regret that I was unable to get to know Larry better. (I just know how much he disliked poor spelling and incomplete sentences in our notes :-)... And how he always made sure to make us feel welcome on our yearly treks to the home office.    I will never forget how warmly he welcomed me to the company "family" when I was hired. He will be missed.  May the memories of happy time shared bring comfort during this time of sadness.

It is a crushing loss for many of us.  Larry was instrumental in the success of our company.  He always looked out for his employees and tried to protect them and guide them many times like a father figure. His caring was unsurpassed.  He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his Vick and AJ.

Deepest sympathies to the Johnson family.  Larry was a fantastic guy, and although I only knew him through a work relationship, I could tell he was a tremendous family man.  May God's Blessings and strength be with the family.

LAJ was a terrific guy. If it weren't for him I never would have gone back to school and received another degree. He encouraged me to follow my dreams. When I thanked him, he told me not to worry about it because we're family and that's what we do. On his last day at Alfa I went into his office and held out my arms. He laughed and gave me that smile because he knew that I wanted one of those big hugs. I told him that I wanted my last official office hug and he obliged. He will definitely be missed. Vic and AJ, my prayers are with you and the rest of your family.

Vicki, I am truly saddened and shocked to hear of Larry's passing.  I will always treasure working with you and Larry at Progressive all those years ago.  We had the best of times back then.  You and AJ are in my prayers always.  RIP LARRY! XOXO

Sorry to hear about Larry's passing.  Vick and AJ - my prayers are with you.  I was fortunate to work with Larry for 15 years. I learned a lot from him about claims and respected his opinions.  But most of all, I will miss the laughs we shared during the countless meetings and lunches we shared over the years.  He was a great guy.

Larry reached out to me on several occasions in my personal life when I was going through difficult times with my family. His fatherly advice touched me deeply and saw me through those times and helped me back better decisions regarding family and work.  He will be missed dearly. Vic and AJ I hope the thought of his warm smile and the times you shared together will carry you through your grief.

To My Friends Vick and AJ:  Take solace in the knowledge that The Big Guy's earthbound suffering has ended.  The scores of memories we all have of him will be told and retold in stories about my friend Larry for years to come.  He influenced so many lives and in the 10 years I worked with and for him, he helped me through many difficult times, personal and professional. Larry influenced a lot of lives through the years. I am thankful that our paths crossed nearly 10 years ago as we began working together. Sorry for your loss. I pray for your comfort.

While I only knew Larry through work, and even though I work remote in Ohio, the times that I did talk to Larry in person, he was always so genuine and sincere about how I was doing, how my family was doing, and what he and the company could do to make my life on the road easier. He truly cared about everyone he knew. 

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Very saddened to hear about LAJ's passing. As an ALFA employee and fellow Buckeye I always enjoyed exchanging the casual OH-IO in the office when we passed. As a cancer survivor I know first hand the struggles fighting cancer can place on the individual and their family. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they seek comfort and answers.

I will forever be appreciative of the 15 years Larry and I worked together. He was a great mentor, and I will miss him dearly. May you both find comfort during this time.
