

Lee A. Knox Jr was born July 6th, 1939, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Lee A. and Frances Knox. Lee attended Douglas Anderson High School #107. Later attending Stanton Vocational School for Masonry class. With his love for the masonry field, he worked tirelessly for 60 years. 50 years was with his brother Clarence Knox, for Knox Masonry Construction Company. And 10 years, in and around the state of Florida.
As a youth, Lee attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church “up the road,” and later attended Mt. Moriah Church. His love for family and friends was a big part of his life. Lee enjoyed fishing, listening to Doo-Wop music, watching classic westerns, and watching his favorite NFL team the Dallas Cowboys play.
On Thursday, December 29th, 2022, at the age of 83 our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home.
Lee leaves to cherish his memories 5 children: Carl M. Knox (Andrea), Patrick Cobb, Terrence Oliver, Travis Preston, and Kenya Brown (Don Jr.); Siblings: Coy Lee Knox, Clarence Knox (Maudlin), Lewis Knox (Mary Ellen), Frankie Lee Woods (Benny), Annie Phelts (Russell), and Leon Knox (deceased); Grandchildren: Tonya Knox (deceased), Darius Knox, Danielle Cobb, Regina Sky Oliver, Ava Willow Oliver, Ke’yonna Brown and Dominique Brown; 3 great-grandchildren: Trinity Cobb, Braden Cobb, and Kendal Cobb; Goddaughter Nikeera A. Farmer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowful friends, among them devoted and loving friend, Dora “Frostie” Kite. He will be greatly missed by all whom knew and loved him.
A visitation for Lee will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. A memorial service will occur Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2825 San Diego Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
