On Friday, August 26, 1949 Linda Alieze Pope was born in Fitzgerald Georgia. Linda was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School in 1967 and was the 2nd African American to integrate Ben Hill County schools. She worked as a supervisor with Amtrak and retired with many years of service. Linda passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
Her survivors include husband Godfrey Bastian (divorced) , two loving sons James Errol Bastian and Joseph Alan Bastian. One grand daughter Zandria Bastian. Three sisters, one brother and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Graveside services were held at the Evergreen cemetery chapel on Friday, November 26, 2010
Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
