Linda Kaye Cody

CODY - Linda Kaye (Stringer) Cody was born June 2, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida. She passed unexpectedly on Sunday, July 11, 2021. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Leonard Randy Moore; her parents, Robert Stringer and Evelyn Louise Stringer. Linda is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Louise Rishel Crump; grandson, John Crump, IV; brother, Stephen Stringer (Linda); sister and best friend, Marcia Stringer Young; nephews, Daryl Ransom, Brian Young, and Austin Young. Also her long time Love, Lee Cody. Linda graduated from Terry Parker in 1964.

She retired from the City of Jacksonville after 34 years of service, as an Executive Administrate Asst. for the Civil Service Board. Linda also retired from the State Attorney's office.

She loved to go on trips to Las Vegas, Cruises, Atlantic City, and Biloxi. She also lived in Biloxi for 3 years with her sister, Marcia and she LOVED it. She enjoyed playing Draw Poker, slots and the Florida Lottery. They used to call her "LUCKY LINDA." She loved spending time with her beloved Yorkie, Sir Casey.

Linda was an Amazing Mother, Grandmother, Sister and a Friend with an Amazing smile and Kind Heart. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 2pm at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd.
