

Linda was the daughter of the late Rev. William G. and Ollie Mae Sizemore. She attended Brevard High School in Brevard, North Carolina. She was a member of Hogan Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida where she sang in the choir, played the hand bells and enjoyed playing softball. Linda’s first job was at a bakery where she learned the secret to making donuts. Linda worked at the DuPont Brevard Plant in the photo products department for many years. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida she worked as an executive assistant for such companies as CSX, Smurfit-Stone and JP Morgan Chase before retiring.
Linda loved to bake, fish, sew, spend time with her family and volunteer at the Jacksonville fair grounds. She also volunteered for the Jacksonville Jaguars Champions Club. Her real love was her modeling career. She was in Mrs. Florida Pageants in 1983, 1984 and 1985. She modeled for the Amaro agency and loved to do runway work.
Linda had a gentleness about her that was easily seen and readily felt. She was kind to strangers, enduring to friends and loved nothing more than being with her friends, family, and Pomeranians.
On Friday, January 12, 2024, Linda stepped into glory after battling Parkinson’s for several years, as terrible as the disease is for those who suffer, in her mind and heart, there always remained a smile, laughter and a love for her family which will never fade.
Linda Sizemore was a great mother, daughter, sister, and friend. A life well lived by every measure.
She is survived by her children, Krystal Hudgens and Angela Hudgens. Her brothers, Bill Sizemore (Sheila), Charles Sizemore (Donna), Jerry Sizemore. Sister, Rita Register (James) and many, many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Reverend William G and Ollie Mae Sizemore.
A celebration of life service will be officiated by Pastor Jordan Sizemore and held on Wednesday, January 31 at 2:00 pm, at Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery; Located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida. A funeral service will also be held in her honor on February 2, 2024 at 11 am at Blantyre Baptist Church,
2451 King Road, Pisgah Forest, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda Sizemore’s name to any local Parkinson’s Foundation.
