

Linda is survived by her children, Robert Veazy Walker Jr., his wife Susan Walker and her daughter Victoria Walker-Furtado. Her grandchildren, Kelci L. Szala, Mitchell Walker, Colby Walker, Garreth Miller, Johnny Garcia, Noah Ogg, Brandon Ogg and his son David, Jennifer Furtado-DeRita her husband Cory and children Madiline and Emilia and her great-granddaughter Kensley Columbe. Stepson Brent Welch and grandson Blake Welch. She was 1 of 10 children, preceding her in life was Harold W. Norris “Sonny”, Shirly Mohr, Margret Norris, William “Bill” Norris and Sandra “Sandy” McCann and she is survived by her sisters Marian Rice and Pat Wingate, brothers Don Norris, Gary Norris and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was born in Jacksonville, Fl on July 12, 1946, to Harold W. Norris and Elizabeth F. Conway-Norris. She graduated from Keystone Heights, Fl in 1964 then worked as an accountant with her mother in Green Cove Springs, Fl until 1979. From there she worked as a supervisor of the CCIU for Shands Hospital in Gainesville and then the comptroller for the Utility services and handled their payroll and insurance. She moved to Fort Myers in 1984 and got her real estate license and then in 1986 got her broker’s license and started Lin Welch Realty, Inc. She went on to develop residential communities in that area and then moved into the commercial side of real estate and helped in the zoning and development of large parcels of land and expansions of main roads like Corkscrew Blvd. in Estero, FL.
Linda was a true child of God. She raised her children knowing the Lord and made sure her grandchildren knew of him and had a relationship with him as well. She witnessed to people about his love at every opportunity, always eager to share her faith with those around her. Through her unwavering belief she guided many towards a deeper relationship with God. Her life was a testament to His grace, and through her example, she led others to walk in His light.
The funeral is scheduled for 10am on February 8, 2025, at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel & Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fl. The service will be officiated by Pastor Ryan Begue of First Baptist Church in Keystone Heights, FL.
