Lorraine R. Drummond

Lorraine R. Drummond, 89, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away March 29, 2014. She was born in Sioux Falls, SD, daughter of the late Albert and Gunvor (Olstad) Rabe. Lorraine graduated from the University of Nebraska. She married W. John Drummond and together they moved several places before locating in Jacksonville.

An avid golfer, she enjoyed playing with her husband and children. She also enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and volunteering.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 57 years, W. John Drummond.

Surviving are three children, Carol (Neil) Daraskevich, Jim (Donna) Drummond and Gretchen Bell, grandchildren, Joseph and John Daraskevich, Nicole and Brianna Drummond, John, Joshua, Logan and Brooke Swanson and a great grandchild, Ramsey Swanson, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. A Celebration of her life will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 3976 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Thursday, April 3 at 11 am.
