Lorraine Vera Nipper passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, and has now gone to where everyone’s waiting. Lorraine was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 21, 1941 to William and Jean Wick. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Gene Nipper; two sons, Tony Simone and Gene (Geno) Nipper, Jr.; two grandsons, David and Jon Simone; dear friend Pamela Howell and her family; and many other caring friends and family. It was love at first sight for Gene when he met Lorraine in the fall of 1974 while she was working at The Tree Steakhouse. They were married on January 12, 1975. Lorraine also worked at San Jose Country Club and retired from Publix Supermarkets. She loved family vacations at South Ponte Vedra Beach, was a terrific cook and embodied the spirit of southern hospitality. Donations to Community Hospice are recommended in lieu of flowers. The family will host a private celebration of Lorraine’s life on June 30, 2018 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Nipper Ranch in Jacksonville, Florida.
