Louise Moore Smith

Louise Moore Smith, 94, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born on June 24, 1921. She has lived her entire life in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Wilton Smith. Louise was a fabulous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Smith Evans; son, Russell T. Smith; her brothers, Stanley (Virginia) Moore, George (Nancy) Moore, and Louis (Louise) Moore; grandsons, Christopher (Roxanne) Evans and Jonathan Scott Evans; great-granddaughters, Isabella and Avery Evans; and many nieces and nephews.

Louise was a natural nurturer for family and friends alike. She was always ready to jump in and help with anything and everything. She was the "go-to" lady, fondly known to many as "Weezie". She will be greatly missed by all whose lives have been enriched for learning from and having known her.

The family will receive friends from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, August 7, 2015 at The Oaklawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at The Oaklawn Chapel. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Heart Association.
