Manuel “Bo” Martin, 81, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008. Mr. Martin was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida, lived all of his life in Jacksonville and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Bo was a retired licensed commercial fisherman and member of the Organized Fishermen of Florida. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mickey T. Martin; one son, Eddie Martin; one daughter, Karen Van Houten and her husband Steve; one granddaughter, Angel Van Houten; other loving family and dear friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday (TODAY) at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 5201 Cedar Point Road. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 4 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with Brother Jim Matthews and Rev. Neal Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery.
