

YARBOROUGH - Margaret Yarborough, 95, passed away peacefully from this life on Mother’s Day morning, May 8, 2016. She was born September 28, 1920 in Minnesota. Margaret was an army veteran of WWII. She came to Jacksonville in 1946 with her husband, Edwin Yarborough, who preceded her in death in 1988. Margaret was also preceded in death by two daughters; Rose Marie Yarborough and Carol Richter. She is survived by four children; Patty Stamper, Joe Yarborough (Maryann), John Yarborough (Carol), and Mike Yarborough(Mary). Margaret is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Margaret was a founding member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was also a member of Christ the King’s Council of Catholic Women and of the K-Cees, the woman’s arm of the Knights of Columbus, Thomas Larkin Council 4727. She resided in Arlington since 1950 and was witness to the tremendous growth of Jacksonville. She lived out the final years of her life at Brookdale Atrium Retirement Community in Arlington. The family expresses its sincere gratitude to the staff of the Atrium for the loving, caring manner they showed in caring for her. Margaret will be missed by all who knew her. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6-8 pm with a rosary at 7pm in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32211. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Thah Nguyen officiating , 742 Arlington Rd N, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
