So sad to hear of someone passing so young.  I was a friend of his sister Kathy long, long ago (Class of 1974) at Sandelwood.  Mark was a good guy.  My condolences to his family.

I loved Mark.  He was the highlight on the dance floor when Cloud 9 was playing, and he was sooo nice to me.  I miss you Mark.

I knew Mark from Starbucks. I was out of town at the time of his passing and only found out yesterday that he was no longer with us. My deepest condolences to his family, especially his son (whom I met only once). Your Dad was a good man. He crazy loved you and was very proud of the man you are becoming. I mourn with you for your loss. I rejoice with Mark because he is forever in the presence of God.

As I started looking back at the 18 years I knew Mr. Mark, as my boy's affectionately always called him, I started realizing that we had a tremendous number of great times together and almost everyone of them were with our boys.  I find that we actually had so many that it made me realize how close our families really were. 
He sincerely was like a true brother to me and would always introduce me as â€œmy brother from a different motherâ€ as I know he did with several other close friends. He touched my boy's lives perhaps even more than mine. 
Mark loved kids and there are so many times he took my three boys along with Tyler on little excursions to the Sun's game, to the Christmas parade or to get an ice cream. My youngest son, Hunter 10, loved to talk to Mr. Mark and talked to him like a good old friend. One afternoon we were sitting in the living room, as we did four to five times a week, and Hunter asked Mr. Mark if he wanted to get some plants to start a garden. Mark didn't hesitate and said â€œlet's run up to Home Depot and get some plantsâ€ and off they went just him and Hunter. They came back and Hunter was the proudest little man, showing off all the plants to everyone that would listen. We planted them and once they started producing, we had peppers forever and each time Mr. Mark came over Hunter had a bag ready for him to take home. Mark was always so excited to get them, you know parents, and Hunter would smile from ear to ear proud of his harvest. I see the sadness in Hunter's eyes whenever he thinks of Mr. Mark's passing but I also see the genuine heartfelt laughter when we talk about the wonderful times we all had throughout the years. 
Just this past Christmas Mark was all excited for all of us to go to Riverside to see the lights. Mark went and borrowed either Grandpa's or Jerry Barber's pickup and Mark, myself, Tyler and my boys all loaded up into the back and started cruising down the street to see the lights. We thought maybe we were just early because it looked like just another Saturday night in Riverside. We finally stopped and asked a lady when were the lights starting and the lady looked at us like idiots and stated â€œoh, they were last weekendâ€. We all looked at Mark and laughed and decided to go to Starbucks and get a hot chocolate and coffee. Just another day with Mark.  
The only true things we can forever leave with our friends and loved ones is our love and memories. Mark gave our family enough of both to last us several lifetimes and therefore it makes it easier for us to understand that we can now start tapping into those memories to help us make it through these difficult times and on. 
It is hard for me to believe that Mr. Mark is physically not with us anymore but he will forever remain in our hearts. 
I don't know how many times we heard Mark sing â€œThis Magic Momentâ€ but we know he gave us countless moments we will never forget.
I love you Mr. Mark and so does Sandi, Timmy, Matthew and Hunter and we will truly miss the times we had together.

Mark and I knew each other from the Class of 1973 Sandalwood High School. We were some of the original Saints and now Mark is one with our Father in Heaven. God Bless you and your family.

I knew Mark from the Sandalwood Class of '73  - the best that will ever be!  I know Mark was looking forward to our 40th class reunion.  He attended some of the committee meetings early on.  He always shared his devotion to his son.  Gone too soon, Mark, but God knows the plan.  His ways are not our ways.  Rest in peace, my friend.  Until we meet again on the other side. I knew Mark from his days working for Hypertherm. He was a genuinely nice person and I treasure the time I traveled with him in FL visiting customers.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family

I met Mark while working at Starbucks and have known him for 2 years.  Not only was he a customer, he was my friend.  He was always concerned about others and could sense if something was wrong, even if you didn't say anything.  He was always there offering a smile and encouraging words.  As I got to know Mark, it was very apparent that he was very devoted to and proud of Tyler.  I will miss making his Tall Black Iced Tea with 2 Sweet n Lows and his Reduced Fat Turkey Bacon with no bread..He was part of our Starbucks family and will be missed.  Please take comfort in knowing what a thoughtful and caring person he was.

We are truly sorry for the loss of such a fine man, much too early.  He will be missed and remembered by all that knew him.

My heart felt sympathy and prayers to Marks family. Mark was surely the sweetest,kindest most genuine person. Always ready to help with another's needs.
